Standing behind Cliodna with their back turned is a character who doesn't exist in the base game. Even more curious? They appear to be wearing snow-appropriate clothing — which makes absolutely no sense for the temperate forests of Vermund or the scorching heat of Battahl.
Dragon's Dogma 2 already contains multiple references to a Northern region, so this mysterious stranger could be from there. That alone is suspicious enough, but it gets better.
Clue 2: The Hidden Letter
On the table in the artwork sits an open letter written in the Gransys alphabet. Fans translated it, and here's what it says:
"Sightings of griffins flying in from the northern region of Organ have been confirmed."
A snowy northern region called Organ. A mystery character dressed for cold weather. Griffins migrating south. Put those clues together and you've got what looks like a very deliberate tease for a snow-themed expansion.
