ARC Raiders Update 1.11.0: Trigger Nade Nerfed, Kettle Fixed, and 12 Million Copies Sold!

Hey, Daily Quest readers! If you’ve been topside lately, you know the Trigger Nade has been the absolute bane of every PvP encounter. Well, Embark Studios is officially putting an end to the "dodgeball" meta.

Today, January 13, 2026, update 1.11.0 dropped across all platforms. While it brings some much-needed balance to the Rust Belt, not everyone is going to be happy—especially those who relied on the Kettle’s insane fire rate to delete other Raiders.

The Big Nerfs: Trigger Nades & The Kettle

Embark’s latest patch notes make it clear: they want skill and positioning to matter more than weapon exploits.

  •

Trigger Nade Rework: This gadget has been dominating lobbies as an "insta-pop" air grenade. To fix this, Embark has increased the detonation delay from 0.7s to 1.5s. Additionally, the damage falloff was rebalanced to concentrate power at the center, meaning you’ll need a direct hit to secure those high-damage kills.

  •

The Kettle Macro Fix: The semi-auto Kettle rifle had a fire rate cap that was "only realistically reachable by players using macros." To level the playing field, its fire rate has been slashed from 600 to 450 RPM.

A Massive Milestone: 12 Million Raiders!

In a stunning announcement, Nexon and Embark confirmed today that ARC Raiders has surpassed 12.4 million copies sold in just 10 weeks. To celebrate, the team is handing out a Gilded Pickaxe Raider Tool to anyone who has logged in since launch.

⚠️ Quick Loot Alert: You must log in before 11:59 PM CET (2:59 PM PST / 5:59 PM EST) today to claim your golden pickaxe!

What’s Next: The Toxic Swamp?

While this update ended the snowy Cold Snap and Flickering Flames events, something much more dangerous is lurking. Data-miners and Reddit "time travelers" who poked around the internal calendar have discovered a new map condition: Toxic Swamp.

Rumored to launch on January 19, this condition will reportedly turn Dam Battlegrounds into a hazardous zone where players must use air purifiers and deliver thermal rocks to survive. Consider it the extraction shooter version of a FromSoftware poison swamp!

Final Drop: A Fairer Frontier?

The community is still split on the Stitcher, which remains un-nerfed despite outperforming rarer guns, and the infamous "out-of-bounds" exploits on Stella Montis are still being looked into. However, with nearly 1 million concurrent players this month, ARC Raiders is officially a juggernaut that isn't slowing down.

What’s your take, Quest squad? Are you glad the Trigger Nade spam is over, or did you rely on those "air-burst" kills? And are you ready for the Toxic Swamp next week? Let us know in the comments!
