Sony and Hoyoverse are partnering to release a Genshin Impact Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller for PS5. Pre-orders begin December 11 through PlayStation Direct and select retailers. The design is inspired by the Traveler, the player character in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Update 6.2 Timing
The controller launches shortly after Genshin Impact Version 6.2 starts rolling out. The first phase begins December 3 and the second arrives December 24. The update features two new Archon Quests titled A Nocturne of the Far North and Melting Moonlight in the Morning Mist, the fifth and sixth acts of the Song of the Welkin Moon saga. A new character, Durin, debuts on December 3 alongside Jahoda and Venti. Varesa and Xilonen will return in the second phase until January 13.
Controller Pricing and Release Schedule
Price: $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480
Pre-orders: December 11
Shipping: Early 2026
The controller launches January 21 in select Asian regions, including Japan, and February 25 globally across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Quantities will be limited.
Design Inspired by the Traveler
The design incorporates signature elements of the Traveler Twins, Aether and Lumine.
Aether’s earring appears on the right grip, while Lumine’s hair flowers are on the left. The Touchpad displays the Traveler’s star symbols, and the back features a script logo along with Paimon. The controller uses a pearl-white frame with blue bumpers, triggers, and sticks, along with white buttons marked with gold symbols.
Features and Functionality
The controller functions the same as a standard DualSense. It works on PS5 and compatible PCs and supports Sony’s firmware-added features, such as multi-pairing with up to four devices by holding the PS button and a face button to switch connections.
Limited Availability
Like other special-edition DualSense models, quantities will be scarce. Fans interested in picking one up should be ready when pre-orders open on December 11. With the Version 6.2 update and the new controller arriving soon, Genshin Impact players have a lot to look forward to this season.
