Get ready to break the fourth wall and possibly the game balance! The regenerating degenerate himself, Deadpool, is officially joining the Marvel Rivals roster as the first hero for Season 6, which kicks off on January 16, 2026.
The announcement came via a quip-filled trailer at The Game Awards, confirming that the fan-favorite anti-hero will be bringing his signature dual pistols, katanas, and ceaseless toilet humor to the hero shooter.
Season 6: Night at the Museum
The next season is titled Night at the Museum, and the trailer revealed that the action is centered around the Collector’s Museum, which is apparently turning into an intergalactic zoo after Deadpool gets involved.
Deadpool's Role: While not fully confirmed, the trailer heavily suggests Deadpool will be a Duelist (Damage Dealer), relying on his agility, ranged pistols, and close-range katana attacks, fitting the role that fans and dataminers have long speculated. He was even shown riding a T-Rex (presumably Devil Dinosaur, or a Deadpool-ified version) and battling a "CapWolf" Captain America skin!
The Museum Map: We can expect a new Museum map where the heroes will fight amidst strange and monstrous exhibits, building on the lore introduced in Season 5 with Gambit and Rogue's heist.
The Monster Hunter Follows
The trailer ended with a quick tease of the second new hero coming in Season 6: Elsa Bloodstone. A much deeper cut from the Marvel universe, Elsa is a monster hunter who will likely arrive later in the season, perhaps in the mid-season 6.5 update.
Elsa has often been paired with Deadpool in the comics, acting as his rival and straight-woman. Given her proficiency with firearms and monster-hunting gear, she is also expected to fill the Duelist role, though some players are speculating she could be a Strategist given the mystical nature of the Bloodstone gem she possesses.
This reveal follows a busy 2025 for Marvel Rivals, which saw the additions of heroes like Gambit, Rogue, and Daredevil, and the debut of a dedicated PvE mode.
