Even better, the Nintendo and Illumination co-produced movie is already set to hit theaters in April 2026 — just about six months from now.
With that release date coming up fast, it’s safe to expect a steady stream of new information over the next few months. Trailers, character reveals, and story teases are all likely on the horizon as the marketing campaign starts to ramp up.
While some fans might be a bit disappointed that the upcoming Nintendo Direct won’t include any major new game announcements, there’s still plenty to look forward to on the Switch 2 front.
