Battlefield 6 Just Made Challenges WAY Easier—Thanks, EA!

Big win for Battlefield 6 players: EA just overhauled the entire Challenges and Assignments system—and it’s much easier now.

Since launch, many fans have complained that unlocking weapons, gadgets, or cosmetics felt too slow or unfair. Well, EA listened—and rolled out a massive update that makes progress feel faster and more natural.

What Changed

  • Class challenges are now way simpler. Example: You used to need 50 squadmates to spawn on your beacon. Now? Just 5.

  • Mode-specific assignments (like in Breakthrough or Strikepoint) have had their goals lowered.

  • Mastery challenges (for leveling up weapons) are now better matched to how you actually play the game—not how EA thought you should play.

In total, over 90 changes were made—all designed to help you unlock stuff without grinding for hours.

More Fixes Are Coming

This is just the first step. The team says more updates are coming soon, including:

  • Changes to aim assist (especially for console players)

  • A goal to make aim assist “less sticky” and movement slower when aiming—so it feels fairer

As Matthew Nickerson, lead designer for controllers, teased:

“We’re working to make aiming feel smoother and more consistent.”

Why This Matters

Battlefield 6 launched strong—but some parts, like weapon bloom and challenge design, left fans frustrated. This update shows EA is actively listening and fixing things fast.

So if you’ve been putting off playing because unlocks felt impossible… now’s the time to jump back in.

Because finally—progress feels rewarding again.
