Resident Evil Requiem: 30 Days Until the Raccoon City Reunion!

Hey, Daily Quest readers.

The hype for Resident Evil Requiem is reaching a fever pitch. With over 4 million wishlists across all platforms, Capcom’s ninth mainline installment is tracking to be one of the biggest horror launches in history.

Set 30 years after the initial outbreak, Requiem returns to the decimated remains of Raccoon City. The game features a dual-protagonist system that bridges the gap between the franchise's horror roots and its high-octane action peaks.

Dual Terror: Grace Survives, Leon Slays

Requiem introduces a "Hot and Cold" gameplay dynamic that forces players to master two completely different styles of survival:

  •

Grace Ashcroft (The "Cold" Bath): As a non-combat-proficient FBI analyst, Grace’s sections are played in first-person. Resources are incredibly scarce, forcing you to use stealth, environmental puzzles, and "distraction items" like glass bottles to survive.

  •

Leon S. Kennedy (The "Hot" Sauna): Leon’s segments shift to third-person action. This is the seasoned DSO agent we know—armed to the teeth and capable of parrying enemy attacks with his hatchet or even picking up a chainsaw to turn the tide against the "intelligent" zombie hordes.

Pre-Order Bonuses & Deluxe Details

Capcom is rewarding early survivors with some high-tier nostalgia. If you haven't locked in your copy yet, here is the loot table:

  • Standard ($69.99): Includes the "Apocalypse Grace" Costume (based on her mother Alyssa Ashcroft’s original Raccoon City attire).

  • Deluxe Edition ($79.99): Adds 5 extra costumes, 4 weapon skins, "Classic" visual filters, and an Original Ver. Soundtrack Swap.

  • Switch 2 Exclusive: A gunmetal-etched RE Requiem Pro Controller ($99.99) and a Grace Amiibo (launching Summer '26) that unlocks a "Deduction" skill in-game.

The Resident Evil "Generation" Pack

Available only until March 31, 2026, Capcom has released a digital Generation Pack ($89.99). It’s the perfect starter kit for the Nintendo Switch 2, bundling Resident Evil Requiem with the Gold Editions of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village.

Fan Frenzy: Demo Rumors

The community is currently hunting for the "Requiem Demo." Following Capcom's usual patterns, whispers suggest a playable demo could drop on Friday, February 13. Whether it's a "Grace Escape" or a "Leon Gauntlet," we'll be ready to time our speedruns.

Which perspective are you most excited for? Are you here for the first-person dread of Grace, or are you ready to rev up the chainsaw as Leon? Let me know in the comments—I'm already stocking up on Green Herbs!

Share this with your coop partner, and stay locked for the review embargo drop.
