Rayman is finally bouncing back! A Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition just leaked via the Australian Classification Board, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Freshly rated "G" for very mild violence on January 22, 2026, this listing confirms that the limbless hero is heading to PS5 and Nintendo Switch much sooner than anyone expected.
Coming right on the heels of Ubisoft’s brutal January restructuring—which saw the Prince of Persia remake axed and Watch Dogs officially shelved—this leak is the ray of hope fans have been waiting for.
The "Iceman" Cometh: Tom Henderson’s Predictions
This leak aligns perfectly with recent intel from insider Tom Henderson. On the latest Insider Gaming podcast, Henderson revealed that Ubisoft is juggling two separate Rayman projects:
Codename "Iceman": This is the 30th Anniversary Edition that just leaked. Henderson claims it is a commemorative project releasing “very, very soon” to celebrate the franchise’s milestone.
Codename "Steambot": A more ambitious project, reportedly a remake of Rayman Legends, targeting a late 2026 release.
While the "Steambot" remake has some fans scratching their heads (does Legends really need a remake?), "Iceman" appears to be the immediate win we need.
The Atari Twist: Physical Editions Incoming?
The most interesting detail from the ACB rating is that Atari is listed as both the developer and publisher. While Ubisoft owns the IP, Atari (via their recent acquisition of Digital Eclipse) has become the gold standard for retro preservation and anniversary collections.
This suggests that the 30th Anniversary Edition might be more than a simple port. We could be looking at a polished "Gold Edition" of the original 1995 classic, featuring:
Widescreen Support & HD Visuals: Modernizing the iconic hand-drawn art.
Digital Eclipse Expertise: Expect a "Museum Mode" with concept art, developer interviews, and maybe even the fabled prototype levels from the SNES version.
Physical Glory: Since U&I Entertainment is listed as the applicant, a physical boxed release for PS5 and Switch is almost a certainty.
| Project | Codename | Platform | Release Window |
| 30th Anniversary Ed. | Iceman | PS5, Switch | Q1 2026 (Imminent!) |
| Legends Remake | Steambot | TBA | Late 2026 |
Why This Matters for Ubisoft’s Future
Ubisoft is in the middle of a "Major Reset," cutting costs and focusing on core brands. While Rayman hasn't had a mainline entry since 2013, the success of the Mario + Rabbids DLC and the constant fan demand has clearly moved the needle.
If this Anniversary Edition performs well, it could be the final proof Ubisoft needs to greenlight a true Rayman 4. For now, being able to play the original masterpiece with trophy support and helicopter-hair physics on current-gen hardware is a massive win.
Helicopter Hair Into the Comments!
The ACB leak usually means a shadow drop or a formal trailer is only weeks away. My money is on a February reveal to kick off Ubisoft’s new "Creative House" era.
