Hey, Daily Quest readers! NetEase Games just dropped a bomb—literally and figuratively. Deadpool is officially joining the Marvel Rivals roster on January 16, 2026, for Season 6: Night at the Museum.
But this isn't just another hero release. In a move that breaks the traditional hero-shooter mold, Wade Wilson will be the game’s first triple-role hero.2 Whether your team needs a tank, a healer, or a damage-dealer, Deadpool is "the guy" (though you’ll have to commit to one role per match in Competitive play).
One Merc, Three Ways to Play
Deadpool's role is determined in the spawn area, and each kit drastically alters how the "Merc with a Mouth" interacts with the battlefield:
Duelist (DPS): The classic Wade. High-mobility combat using dual katanas and pistols. He can even throw his katana like a razor-blade boomerang.
Strategist (Support): In true Deadpool fashion, he "helps" by shooting and slicing his teammates to heal them. It sounds painful, but it gets the job done.
Vanguard (Tank): Wade beefs up to 500 HP and gains defensive utility. He can throw a giant unicorn plush that projects a spherical barrier to protect allies and trap enemies.
Breaking the Fourth Wall: Unique Mechanics
It wouldn't be Deadpool without some fourth-wall-breaking chaos. Voiced by the prolific Alejandro Saab (known for Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail), this version of Wade comes with several "Unhinged" features:
RPG Level-Ups: By opening a literal comic book in-game, Deadpool can choose "level-up" traits that buff his current role (e.g., increasing katana damage for Duelists or shield health for Vanguards).
Interactive Quizzes: He can quiz other players for buffs. The quality of the bonus depends on how well the target player answers his questions!
Photo Op Invincibility: Wade can take selfies with defeated opponents. During the animation, he gains a bizarre form of invincibility—one trailer even showed him absorbing Magneto’s Ultimate with his... well, his backside.

The "Toy Box" Team-Up

Effect: Jeff throws a spinning toy that sprays water. It heals nearby allies while simultaneously covering the screens of enemies with distracting, animated Deadpools.
Final Drop: A Meta in Shambles?
With major buffs coming to Hulk and Blade, and nerfs hitting Angela and Gambit, Season 6 is already a massive shake-up. But Deadpool's ability to fill any vacancy on a team makes him the ultimate wildcard.
What’s your take, Quest squad? Are you going to be a "Healing Deadpool," or are you just here for the unicorn plush shields? Let us know in the comments!
