February 2026 Release Guide: RE Requiem, Nioh 3, & The Month of Horror!

Hey, Daily Quest readers.

If you thought January was busy, brace yourselves. February 2026 is officially the "Super Bowl" of gaming. We are looking at a historic month for survival horror, soulslikes, and brawlers. Leading the pack is the 30th-anniversary crown jewel, Resident Evil Requiem (RE9), but the supporting lineup is just as lethal.

From the ruins of Raccoon City to the open fields of Heian-period Japan, here is every major drop you need to track.

The Headliner: Resident Evil Requiem (Feb 27)

Capcom is pulling out all the stops for the series' 30th anniversary. Set in the overgrown, atmospheric ruins of Raccoon City, Resident Evil Requiem features a dual-protagonist system that is already drawing massive hype.

  • The Leads: Leon S. Kennedy returns for high-octane action, while newcomer Grace Ashcroft (an FBI analyst with ties to the Outbreak series) brings back the classic, resource-starved "ink-ribbon" survival horror.

  • The Tech: For the first time, you can switch between 1st and 3rd-person perspectives, tailoring the horror to your preference.

  • Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and a day-one launch for Nintendo Switch 2.

The Soulslike King: Nioh 3 (Feb 6)

Team Ninja kicks off the month with Nioh 3. This entry evolves the formula into "open fields," allowing you to explore massive regions like Edo and Kyoto.

  • The Combat: You control Tokugawa Takechiyo, switching between a classic Samurai Ki Pulse style and a high-mobility Ninja style.

  • The Demo: A time-limited demo drops January 29 on PS5 and Steam—and yes, your progress carries over to the full game!

Mid-Month Mayhem: Yakuza & Reanimal

Mid-February is a bloodbath for your free time. On February 12, RGG Studio drops a massive 2-for-1 bundle with Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. This includes a ground-up remake of the third game plus an all-new origin story for Yoshitaka Mine.

Just 24 hours later, on Friday the 13th, the original creators of Little Nightmares unleash Reanimal. This co-op horror adventure is designed to be played with a friend (via a free Friend's Pass), featuring a shared directed camera that maximizes the claustrophobia.
