Hey, Daily Quest readers! Riot Games is officially shifting gears. After months of PC-only Early Access, 2XKO (formerly Project L) is finally heading to consoles, and they’re bringing the Sheriff of Piltover along for the ride.
Season 1 kicks off on January 20, 2026, marking the game's full transition into its live-service cycle on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The Launch "Riddle": January 20 or 21?
If you saw the new trailer, you might have been confused by the dual dates. No, it’s not a two-day event—it’s just the reality of a global simultaneous launch.
North & South America: The game goes live on January 20 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET.
Europe & Asia: Due to the time difference, it officially drops on January 21 (e.g., 1:00 AM GMT in London / 10:00 AM JST in Tokyo).
The Big Patch: Expect a 9-hour downtime starting at 9:00 AM PT on the 20th as Riot prepares the servers for the console influx.
New Champion: Caitlyn Kiramman
Caitlyn is the 12th champion to join the roster, and she is a nightmare for anyone who hates "Zoners." While League of Legends fans know her for her range, her 2XKO kit adds some serious mechanical depth.
Archetype: The Tactical Zoner. She uses her Hextech Rifle to control the screen with long-range pokes and projectiles.
Signature Moves: Her "Yordle Snap Trap" (renamed Enticing Trap here) and the Bola (her 90 Caliber Net) are back. She can even use her rifle for evasive "bridge kicks" to keep rush-down characters at bay.
The Super: Her iconic Ace in the Hole serves as her ultimate, featuring a cinematic sniper shot that covers the entire screen.
Unlock Method: You can recruit her for free by completing her Champion Recruitment missions starting on launch day, or unlock her instantly via the Ultra Battle Pass.
Costume Check: Arcane vs. Classic
The trailer showcased two distinct looks for Caitlyn:
Classic Sheriff: The iconic purple outfit and top hat from the MOBA.
Strike Team/Alt: A sleek, tactical bodysuit with a high ponytail and mask—perfect for players who want a more modern, "special ops" vibe.

Final Drop: Ready for the Duo?
With Vi already in the game, the "Piltover’s Finest" duo is finally complete. Riot’s tag-team system is built for these synergies—Vi provides the high-pressure rush-down while Caitlyn locks down the screen with traps. It's a "Hammer and Anvil" strategy that is sure to dominate the early Season 1 meta.
What’s your take, Quest squad? Are you ready to main the Sheriff, or are you sticking with the "early access" favorites like Teemo and Warwick? Let us know in the comments!
