Quick Fix: ARC Raiders Patch 1.6.0 Eliminates Map Exploits Ahead of Cold Snap

 Good news for all Raiders tired of getting ambushed by cheats! Embark Studios has released the ARC Raiders 1.6.0 update today, December 11th, bringing a handful of crucial fixes to the game's biggest exploit issues.

This update lands just before the highly anticipated Cold Snap update next week, ensuring a smoother playing experience on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While there is no new content in this patch, the focus is purely on quality of life and stamping out cheaters.

New Update Fixes Frustrating Exploits

If you've played the popular Stella Montis map recently, you might have run into players unfairly glitching their way out of bounds to gain an advantage. Thankfully, Embark seems to have successfully rectified this massive frustration.

The official patch notes confirm several critical fixes designed to keep everyone inside the playspace:

• A specific zipline on Stella Montis that was allowing players to get out of bounds has been removed.

• Collision issues on Blue Gate that allowed players to vault and fall through a wall are fixed.

• A collision gap on Spaceport Launch Tower that allowed players to be shot through the wall has been fixed.

• Material issues that prevented multiple objects from properly blocking bullet fire or ARC vision have been addressed.

These technical fixes should go a long way in eliminating cheating and making the core gameplay loop of looting and extracting much more fair.

Update Schedule is Shifting

The developer also noted a change in their cadence moving forward. While ARC Raiders has been consistently patched every Thursday, Embark says they will no longer be on a weekly update schedule.

The new content release window and store rotation will shift from Thursdays to Tuesdays. More importantly, the team will be taking a well-deserved break over the holiday period, with the next round of updates planned for January.

The good news is we have something massive right around the corner! Next week, on Tuesday, December 16th, Embark will drop the highly anticipated Cold Snap update.

This update is set to introduce a ton of new content, including:

• A brand-new Snowfall Map Condition

• A fresh Raider Deck

• The departure window for the game's first Expedition Project
