The Wizarding World is officially coming to Fortnite and Rocket League this month, confirming one of the most anticipated collaborations in the history of the Epic Games platform.
The announcement was timed with the massive reveal that Hogwarts Legacy is currently free to claim on the Epic Games Store until December 18.
Wizarding World Content Coming to the Shop
Later this month, the Fortnite Item Shop will be updated with a new line of outfits and accessories centered on the Harry Potter universe.
Outfits: While not featuring specific characters like Harry, Ron, or Hermione (much to the disappointment of some fans), the main skins will be generic Hogwarts student robes that players can customize to represent any of the four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff.
Accessories: Expect various magical accessories. Data miners have previously hinted that broomsticks may be introduced as Mythic items during the upcoming Winterfest event.
How to Get the Free Chocolate Frog Back Bling
Players can unlock the first Harry Potter cosmetic right now by participating in a limited-time promotion tied to the free Hogwarts Legacy giveaway:
Claim Hogwarts Legacy for free on the Epic Games Store (PC) before December 18.
Play the game for at least two hours using the Epic Games Launcher before the promotion ends.
The Chocolate Frog Back Bling will be automatically granted to your Fortnite Locker shortly after the December 18 deadline (may take up to 48 hours).
Players who already owned and played Hogwarts Legacy for over two hours are automatically eligible for the reward.
Other Big News in the Battle Royale
In other major news for the battle royale:
Kim Kardashian Icon Series: The newest Icon Series addition, Kim Kardashian, hit the Fortnite Item Shop on December 13 after players had a chance to unlock her early via the Icon Cup on December 12.
Rocket League Collab: Rocket League's Frosty Fest event will include a new Hogwarts House Rivalry event, allowing players to earn points for their house and offering themed shop items.
A Note on J.K. Rowling: Though not directly involved in creating this Fortnite and Rocket League content, the original creator of the Wizarding World, J.K. Rowling, stands to profit from its success. For those concerned, resources are available to support trans creators and organizations.
Will you be grinding the two hours in Hogwarts Legacy to unlock the free Chocolate Frog Back Bling?
