Embark Needs Your Thoughts: ARC Raiders Launches Map Feedback Survey

Big news for all you Raiders out there! Embark Studios is only six weeks into the launch of ARC Raiders, and they are already reaching out to the player base for critical feedback on the game’s map design and player behavior.

If you’ve been spending time in Topside, this is your chance to directly influence the future of the game.

The Survey Focus: Maps and Playstyles

Embark has put out a community call to action asking for general opinions on the game, with a specific focus on the maps. They want to know your thoughts on everything from Dam Battlegrounds to the newest, indoor map, Stella Montis.

More interestingly, the survey is also tracking how players are behaving in the extraction shooter environment. Embark is asking players to rate how often they engage in:

  • Stealthy Play

  • PvP Combat

  • Pure Loot Focus

  • Attempting to be Social

  • Ambushing unsuspecting players (AKA, being a "Rat")

This data is crucial for Embark. It gives them a clear look at the community's preferred style and will likely shape how they design future content, adjust map pacing, and balance the PvPvE dynamic.

You Must Have Raided Every Corner

There are a couple of key requirements if you want to participate in the survey:

  1. Played All Maps: You must have played on every map currently in the game, including the recently community-unlocked Stella Montis.

  2. Embark ID Login: You have to log in using your Embark ID. This ensures your feedback is tied to your playtime and verifies that you've actually met the play requirements.

This requirement points to a significant distinction within the map pool. The older maps, Spaceport and Dam Battlegrounds, were originally designed for the game's initial co-op vision. The newer maps, Blue Gate, Buried City, and Stella Montis, were built after the switch to the PvPvE extraction format, making them generally more PvP-friendly. Your ratings on these different styles of maps are exactly what the devs are looking to compare.

A quick note: Some players have reported running into a "maximum number of responses" message when trying to complete the survey. Embark hasn't commented on this yet, but keep an eye out for updates if you run into this issue!

If you've got strong opinions on the claustrophobic death-match feel of Stella Montis or think a certain map is too empty, now is the time to make your voice heard!

Will you be filling out the survey, and if so, what is the one map you're going to rate highest (or lowest)?
