Call of Duty fans got an early holiday surprise—thanks to what looks like a mistake by Activision.
For a short time, the official Black Ops 7 website showed a Season 1 roadmap that included “Sleighjacked”—a Christmas-themed version of the classic Black Ops 2 map Hijacked. The festive twist features snow, holiday decorations, and likely some yuletide chaos.
But just hours after fans spotted it (thanks to leaker CharlieIntel), Activision removed all mention of Sleighjacked—a clear sign the reveal wasn’t meant to happen yet.
Still, it’s almost certainly real. Map variants like this are a long-standing Call of Duty tradition (think “Nuketown Snow” or “Shipmentmas”), and with the holidays coming, “Sleighjacked” fits perfectly.
More Classic Maps Are Coming Too
Sleighjacked isn’t the only throwback on the way:
-
Nuketown arrives on November 20—just six days after launch
-
Standoff and Meltdown will return with Season 1 (Meltdown hasn’t been in a Call of Duty game in 13 years!)
All of these are fan-favorite maps from Black Ops 2, rebuilt for Black Ops 7’s modern engine.
Campaign Early Access? Nope—Official Date Confirmed
Rumors recently swirled that Black Ops 7 might launch early or give Vault Edition pre-orderers early access to Campaign and Zombies.
But Activision has officially denied those claims. The game will launch on Friday, November 14, on:
-
PlayStation 4 & 5
-
Xbox One & Series X/S
-
PC
No early access. No date change. Just mark your calendar.
Bonus: Prestige Rewards Are Back
In a recent developer video, Treyarch confirmed that Prestige mode returns—with rewards like:
-
A special Operator Skin
-
A unique Weapon Blueprint
-
Custom HUD themes for all game modes (Multiplayer, Zombies, Campaign)
So whether you’re here for snow-covered battles on Sleighjacked or climbing the Prestige ranks, Black Ops 7 is shaping up to be a love letter to longtime fans—with plenty of new thrills too.
Just don’t tell Activision we know about the Christmas map… they might not be ready to share yet!
