Hey, Daily Quest readers.
After what felt like months of silence, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has absolutely kicked its roster reveals into overdrive. The upcoming tag fighter from Arc System Works and PlayStation just dropped another major announcement at EVO Japan 2026, and it’s a big one.
Hulk and Black Panther (Shuri) are officially joining the fight.
And honestly? The launch roster is starting to look stacked.
Team Fighting Avengers Gets Stronger
Hulk and Black Panther will join Captain America and Iron Man to complete what’s being called Team Fighting Avengers.
According to the PlayStation Blog, this newly formed squad is stepping up to face a major new threat to Earth in the game’s Episode Mode, which looks like it’ll lean heavily into story-driven team dynamics.
But this isn’t your standard Hulk.
Hulk’s Savage Land Twist
This version of Bruce Banner has been exiled to the Savage Land by S.H.I.E.L.D. and the government. As a result, he’s rocking dinosaur bone-based armor, which is one of the coolest visual redesigns we’ve seen for the character in years.
The lore suggests Hulk is living a quieter life surrounded by nature — but his distrust of the Avengers still simmers. That emotional tension could play nicely into story mode and in-game interactions.
Shuri’s Black Panther Brings Mobility And Range
Meanwhile, this iteration of Black Panther is Shuri, freshly crowned ruler of Wakanda.
Her fighting style reportedly focuses on movement and range, which fits perfectly with Arc System Works’ flair for fast-paced, technical combat systems. Expect mobility mix-ups, long-range pokes, and maybe some vibranium tech gimmicks.
And yes — a brand-new Wakanda stage is also being added to the game.
The Roster Is Filling Out Quickly
Before Hulk and Shuri, we saw:
- Peni Parker join Team Amazing Guardians alongside Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, and Star-Lord
- The Unbreakable X-Men team revealed: Storm, Wolverine, Magik, and Danger
Here’s the confirmed roster so far:
- Captain America
- Iron Man
- Hulk
- Black Panther (Shuri)
- Spider-Man
- Ms. Marvel
- Peni Parker
- Star-Lord
- Storm
- Wolverine
- Danger
- Magik
- Doctor Doom
- Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)
That leaves six base roster slots still unannounced.
On top of that, leaked information suggests a Year One Character Pass will add four more fighters, bringing the total to 24 characters.
Final Thoughts
With Marvel Tokon launching in early August, we’re entering the rapid-fire reveal phase. And if these announcements are any indication, Arc System Works is going all-in on iconic teams and unexpected versions of classic heroes.
