ARC Raiders Patch 1.12.0: Embark Cracks Down on Stella Montis Exploits

Embark Studios is wasting no time in 2026. Just one week after their post-holiday return, the team has deployed Update 1.12.0 for ARC Raiders across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While it might look like a "small" patch on paper, it takes a massive swing at several game-breaking exploits that have been haunting the community for weeks.

If you’ve been frustrated by players "ghosting" through walls or duplicating gear, this update is exactly what you’ve been waiting for.

The Big Fix: Stella Montis is Finally Locked Down

The headline of this patch is the ongoing battle for Stella Montis. Since its launch in November, the PvP-heavy map has been plagued by out-of-bounds exploits. Players have consistently found ways to glitch outside the intended combat zone, gaining unfair advantages in high-stakes encounters.

Despite previous attempts to plug the holes, players kept finding new ways out. Patch 1.12.0 specifically targets these remaining "leak" locations. Hopefully, this marks the final time Embark has to play "whack-a-mole" with the map’s boundaries.

Crushing the Duplication Glitches

In an extraction shooter, the economy is everything. That’s why the community is breathing a sigh of relief to see item and ammo duplication exploits officially patched out. These glitches threatened the integrity of the game's progression, and their removal ensures a more level playing field for everyone scavenging in the ruins.

Key Fixes in Update 1.12.0:

  • No More Dupes: Both item and ammo duplication exploits have been eliminated.

  • Geometry Fixes: Fixed instances where players could deal damage through solid walls/geometry.

  • Boundary Security: Various out-of-bounds spots on Stella Montis are now inaccessible.

Recap: What Happened in Update 1.11.0?

Today’s patch follows last week’s massive balance overhaul. If you missed it, Embark heavily nerfed the Trigger Nade (increasing detonation time from 0.7s to 1.5s and shrinking its radius) and lowered the Kettle’s fire rate from 600 to 450 to combat macro abuse. Between those nerfs and today’s exploit fixes, the meta is shifting rapidly.

The Wait for New Content Continues

While the bug fixes are welcome, some Raiders might be feeling a bit disappointed. Rumors of a new Toxic Swamp map condition have been swirling, but Embark remained silent on new content today. It looks like we’ll have to hold out a little longer for a major map expansion or new weather effects.

What’s your take? Did this patch hit the exploits you were most worried about, or is there another bug Embark needs to squash? Let us know in the comments!
