Fortnite x The Simpsons Just Brought Back More Players Than Any Event Since Christmas

By [Your Name] | November 4, 2025

Big news: Fortnite’s Simpsons crossover is already one of the game’s biggest successes of 2025.

Just 48 hours after launch, Epic Games announced that more new and returning players joined Fortnite than at any time since last holiday season. That’s huge—even if it didn’t break the all-time player record.

What Made It So Popular?

The mini-season launched on November 1, bringing:

  • A brand-new Springfield map for 80 players

  • Homer, Marge, Ned Flanders, and more as playable skins

  • A fun new weapon: the Mr. Blasty revolver

  • Four animated Simpsons shorts (co-produced by Epic and Gracie Films)

And yes—it even got its own couch gag in the show!

New & Returning Players Are Flooding In

While some fans online have been critical (as always), the numbers tell a different story:

  • More new players joined than during any other event this year

  • More returning players came back than since December 2024

  • Fans are already asking for the content to become permanent or get extended

Epic even celebrated on Twitter:

“In 48 hours, we welcomed the biggest number of new and returning Fortnite players since last holiday season.”

Not the Biggest Player Count—But Still Huge

The game peaked at 2.62 million concurrent players on launch day—which dropped to about 1.4 million by November 3. That’s not close to the 14.3 million who played during the Fortnite Remix: The Finale concert in 2024… but it’s still the 4th-largest spike of 2025.

And here’s the cherry on top:
The first Fortnite x The Simpsons animated short hit #1 on Disney+ in the U.S. by November 4.

So whether you’re here for Homer’s donuts, Moe’s Tavern, or just a fun reason to jump back into Battle Royale—this collab is clearly working.

And hey—if you’re one of those returning players? Welcome back. Springfield’s waiting.
