With today’s update, Black Ops 7 now features four fully remastered Black Ops 2 maps, and Treyarch has already confirmed that even more will arrive when Season 1 launches, though its release date remains unannounced.
A Growing List of Black Ops 2 Throwbacks
As a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, Treyarch has packed the newest installment with familiar weapons, locations, and stylistic callbacks. Players already have access to four BO2 remastered maps, the revamped MSMC (now the MPC-25), and more returning content.
Treyarch also revealed that Season 1 will introduce additional Black Ops 2 maps, including:
Meltdown – Never before remastered
Standoff – Last seen remastered in Black Ops Cold War
Other possibilities for future remasters include Yemen, Plaza, Cargo, and additional fan-favorites.
Nuketown 2025 Joins the Black Ops 7 Playlist
Today’s update officially adds Nuketown 2025, a faithful recreation of the fast-paced, close-quarters classic from Black Ops 2. The map is now live across most playlists and includes its own Nuketown 24/7 queue for nonstop chaos.
While the layout remains true to the 2012 original, Treyarch made a few small adjustments to match Black Ops 7’s futuristic setting, most notably replacing the original mannequins with robots.
Double XP Rumors and Bonus XP Tokens
Although Treyarch didn’t launch a Double XP event alongside the Nuketown update, reliable dataminers claim the first Double XP Week will run:
November 25 to December 1
Double Level XP
Double Weapon XP
This would line up perfectly with grinding before Season 1.
Even without an active event, Activision is making XP boosts easier than ever to earn. Right now, all players can claim:
Five 1-hour Double Level XP Tokens
Five 1-hour Double Weapon XP Tokens
These rewards are automatically granted just for logging in, but only until Season 1 releases. Anyone who joins for the first time after Season 1 begins will not receive these tokens.
